Concealer Makeup Haul: Elianto, Careline and Ellana Brands

Not everyone is born with flawless skin. It is a fact of life, sad but true. However, skin can appear to be flawless with some good ol’ make-up tricks. And we have the inventor of concealers to thank for and whoever s/he is, s/he must have been the BFF of every vain person in his/her time. I am not vain, but I am loving every single concealer makeup that I bought. I currently have three different kinds of concealer–a concealer stick, a cream concealer and a liquid concealer. Each has its own use and purpose. I am still a newbie when it comes to make-up so initially, I bought all three kinds just to experiment with them.

Elianto Ellana and Careline Concealer Make-up

IT'S A CONCEALER MAKE-UP FRENZY! (From Top) Elianto Cream Concealer in 02 deep, Careline Pimple Concealer with Tea Tree Oil in Chestnut, Ellana Mineral Stick Concealer with Tea Tree Oil in Refresh.

Cream, Stick or Liquid? My research tells me that choosing among cream, stick and liquid concealer would depend on where you are applying the concealer to. Cream concealers are considered the “do-all” concealer. It means they could be applied anywhere, give full coverage. Concealer sticks are said to be created for the face and not the eyes. They also give full coverage with matte finish and are great for covering blemishes and spots. Liquid concealers, however, give a bit thin coverage with silky finish.

The concealers in my kikay kit include Elianto Cream Concealer in 02 Deep, Careline Liquid Pimple Concealer with Tea Tree Oil in Chestnut and Ellana Mineral Stick Concealer with Tea Tree Oil in Refresh. I have all three kinds of concealer makeup!

Elianto Ellana and Careline Concealer Comparison

SWATCH LOVE: Careline Pimple Concealer with Tea Tree Oil, Ellana Mineral Stick Concealer with Tea Tree Oil and Elianto Cream Concealer (with and without camera flash)

Elianto Cream Concealer

I use this almost everyday. The packaging is really handy and it fits even in the pocket of my office bag. I love that it gives full coverage. But I noticed that I am more prone to having pimples when I use a cream base concealer.

Type: Concealer Stick
Light weight, waterproof and talc-free cream to powder formula that gives a full and even coverage throughout the day. With natural ingredients, including Tea Tree Oil. Use before foundation.

Ellana Mineral cosmetics is really one of the local brands that I like, buy and really use. The stick concealer is good too and it does not make my face look oily because it give a matte finish.

Careline Pimple Concealer with Tea Tree Oil
Type: Liquid Concealer
Description:
It has tea tree oil that is proven to be effective against pimple and blackheads. As the tea tree oil infiltrates onto your skin, it can soothe, cleanse and relatively tone down the pain thus creating a blemish-free effect.
Price: Php 80.00 per 5/6g.

I mentioned earlier that when I use a cream concealer, I get pimples. To prevent that, I use this concealer just to prevent small zits from developing into a full grown pimple. Sometimes even, I combine two concealers. I do not know why I do that but I just think that doing so creates a natural looking finish.

I may not know who invented the concealer, but I am very thankful, just the same. These three brands are my bet and at any given day, I have one of those three brands in my kikay kit. And yeah, thanks to these concealers, my raccoon eyes from staying late at night is not too obvious in the morning.

How about you, what’s your makeup staple?
